Since 2023, ALIBSA has grown from a knowledge exchange initiative into a community-based programme focused on improving health literacy and advancing health equity among Black and Asian older adults.

A key part of ALIBSA’s work our consistent monthly webinars since 2023, where we bring together healthcare professionals, researchers, academics, and other experts to discuss common lifestyle or health related conditions linked with ageing in the Black and Asian communities. These sessions provide opportunities to learn, ask questions, share experiences, and connect with others.

A greater part of the work of ALIBSA is community engagement and participation in research and knowledge exchange. ALIBSA members are signposted to active and ongoing research to sign up for participation and be part of PPIs in research thereby making research and community engagement more inclusive and accessible for the ageing black and Asian communities
